How we keep your information safe and secure

- All internal and external employees and partners associated with NEOVIVA are bound by professional confidentiality, as stipulated in the Swiss Criminal Code Article 321.
- All internal and external employees must sign a Code of Conduct and a declaration of secrecy, reinforcing an absolute duty of confidentiality towards clients. We carefully select employees who embody our values and culture to establish a trustworthy team.
- As our clients are self-payers, we do not create files with outside organisations, such as health insurance companies. To further protect your privacy, our invoices are generated by a third-party provider, mitigating the risk of disclosing payment information through card statements or other billing documents.
- We follow strict IT security protocols for all electronic communications. For example, we do not use WhatsApp or similar apps because they do not meet European or Swiss data protection laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (FADP), which prohibit the storage of sensitive data on servers outside their respective geographic areas. Similar considerations apply to other applications, such as online calendars, Dropbox, and Google Drive, which store data on servers worldwide. Instead, our staff use only secure and/or encrypted messaging tools to keep your information safe. Our HIN membership signifies our commitment to handling client data with the utmost confidentiality and to using the HIN connection for secure electronic transmission. By adopting this label, we affirm our adherence to the HIN Charter and highlight our dedication to data security and privacy standards that exceed legal requirements.
- In addition to European and Swiss data privacy regulations, we strictly observe doctor-patient confidentiality. We will never share your information without your consent.
- You can register with your own name or a chosen pseudonym.
- We encrypt all medical records and store them securely, where only authorised staff can access them.
- We keep the location of your stay strictly private and do not share it with anyone else.
